English to Turkish: God's Defenders - What They Believe and Why They Are Wrong General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Religion
Source text - English How did this son of St. Louis Unitarians, who read Baudelaire and Laforgue at Harvard and flirted with Buddhism there (and perhaps later as well), suddenly announce his allegiance to Anglo-Catholicism in 1929? It is not as difficult to account for as it appears on the surface. Throughout his life Eliot was terrified of chaos and disorder, and in the end he found no alternative to them but dogmatic religion. Influenced by the idealist philosopher F. H. Bradley, Eliot was haunted by the thought of an irreconcilable subjectivism wherein every person's perception of the world remained unique and incommicable.
English to Turkish: The CIA's Black Ops. Covert Action, Foreign Policy, and Democracy General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Government / Politics
Source text - English Covertly, when the French army established its ill-fated base at Dien Bein Phu in November 1953, the troops were flown in by the American pilots and aircraft of Civil Air Transport (CAT), a CIA proprietary airline that was the forerunner of the more well-known Air America. CAT pilots flew 684 perilous aerial resupply missions into the narrow, flaming valley of death called Dien Bien Phu.
Translation - Turkish Fransa ordusu 1953 Kasım'ında, başı beladan bir türlü kurtulmayan Dien Bien Phu askeri üssünü kurduğunda, buraya konacak askerler Amerikan pilotları yönetimindeki Civil Air Transport (CAT) tarafından getirilmişti.
